Andy Younes, 20, was in the ring in Arles, equidistant from Marseille and Montpellier in the south of France, when the animal got after him. Dramatic photographs captured the moment the young matador was caught by the bull, sending him tumbling to the ground. And while the bull is usually killed at the end of a performance, if the animal shows exceptional skill they are pardoned and sent back to the ranch on which they were reared to live out their Younes, who entered the bullring for the first time when he was just five years old, was performing at the Feria de Paques Easter festivities in Arles, southern France, on Sunday.
